She is playing main role as "Jang gue me" in the Korean Tele-drama name "Jewel in the palace"
ewel in the Palace is based on the true story of Jang-geum, the first
female royal physician of the Joseon Dynasty.
Despite her poor condition as a low class girl in the male dominated
societyJang Geum (Lee Young Ae) overcomes a series of social
discrimination and lands herself as a royal cook, later she becomes the
royal physician, then ultimately the physician in charge of the king.
